Tomorrow is library day for Mrs. Bredahl's class. Please return all library books.
Tomorrow is Orange Shirt Day. Your child is encouraged to wear an orange shirt to recognize the day. If you do not have an orange shirt, students have been told they can also wear their favourite shirt just as Phyllis Webstad did on her first day of residential school. Today Mr. Magowan and Mr. Patry read a story to introduce the reason Phyllis started Orange Shirt Day. Ask your child what they learned about Orange Shirt Day and residential schools.
There is no school on Friday as we recognize Truth and Reconciliation Day.
Next week we will be talking about Terry Fox and his Marathon of Hope. We will be using words such as hero and bravery. You can talk to your child about what characteristics a hero has to help with our introduction to this topic on Monday.
