This morning, we had an assembly to begin our week of learning that will focus on Orange Shirt Day and Indigenous teachings. We had Mr. Patry acknowledge the land, share his memories from the land, and tell a story about the land. Tomorrow we will learn about an Indigenous artist and begin working on our own art pieces.
This afternoon we took advantage of the weather to go across to the pond and sketch our 'tree'. We will follow this tree through the seasons and sketch it as it changes. Take a look at some of our sketches below.
