Reminder that it is important for the students to return their yellow reading duotangs every day as we put new poems and reading text in there for them to practice. The text and poems are becoming more difficult and we encourage everyone to practice the given poems for the week so they are familiar with some of the concepts and words in the new text the following week as there is a progression they will need to know to build onto their literacy skills.
Reminder that tomorrow is library day for Mrs. Brice's class.
In science students are learning about matter and that all objects are made up of matter. We can identify and describe objects using adjectives or words that tell us about an object such as long, bumpy, smooth, flat, etc. Students chose an object in our class and drew it in their visual journals. They then labelled the object with descriptive words. Ask your child what they drew.
Reminder that there is no school for students on Friday as it is a PD day for teachers.
