Last week, all of the grade one students were each given the book, Chaiwala as a gift. These books are theirs to keep and add to your home collection.
This week we are going to be going outside in gym and Mr. Parsons will be teaching us some Indigenous games. Students have been asked to dress for the weather, as it is still cold when we get out there, and to wear gloves or mittens as they will need to use their hands.
Today in math we ended our unit on teen numbers by having the students represent the number 18 in a variety of ways. We modelled the number 14 together so they had ideas and then they were given half an hour to show us their understanding. A few pictures of examples are below.
Due to our music practices both classes will have library on Thursdays until the new year. Please return your library books by Thursday.
